Rain drops pitching down the window
In a blink,
stumbled upon her faded lashes.

Whispers screeching through silent ears
in the veil of grey choir.
danced upon the melancholic heart.

A night wide awake.
A room cold and dark.
A sudden flutter,
smashed her world like a pack of cards


Beneath the starless crown she froze,
From sparkling to crispy toned
sleep in those eyes never played close.
Suddenly,
Pushing away the murky clouds,
a shaft of light arose.

Looking beyond the darkness above,
that blurry sight caught her attention.
Draped her with elation.
Improved her vision.
Darted her out of illusion.

Crimson lips gave away the light.
Shrugging away the tears,
Oh yes ! She smiled.
Her firm vow----
Shattered?
No, not her way of life.
Not today !
Not ever !
